Jorge and I were at a national jeep convention last Saturday (10/27/2007). About 300 jeeps played around in the mountains and rivers near Allende, which is near Santiago in Nuevo Leon, Mexico. Jorge’s jeep is well prepared so we went everywhere
…until we found the deep spot in the river.

Everyone in front of our group was busy filming and taking pictures, and we went almost totally under. Fun was had by all! We got the jeep running again after 30 minutes or so, except for the dashboard and radio, GPS, and so on.
We are now famous in the jeeping clubs in Mexico, and the rest of the day/night we had to tell the story over and over. Cold and wet though!
That was my best jeep trip ever.
